Discovering New Purpose: From Software to Intimacy Coaching

Do you remember a moment when your life changed forever? Mine was on December 5th, 2015. I was 48 years old, leading a healthy lifestyle, when suddenly, a stroke hit me. It was as unexpected as it was devastating. I couldn't walk, see properly, or even remember how to do basic things.

For a long time after, my life was a battle for recovery. It was me and an army of therapists against my health challenges. It was hard, really hard. But in the process, I learned a lot about tools for strength and resilience that really work.

I wasn’t able to walk, talk or see things that were right in front of me.

I had to rebuild my life from scratch…

I had to say goodbye to my job as a software developer, a career I enjoyed and had spent 25 year building, because of my vision loss. Suddenly, I was alone in a way I hadn't been before, even with the support of my loved ones. That's when I asked myself, "What can I do now? How can I give my life a new meaning?"

Before my stroke, I'd been learning about intimacy coaching. So, I decided to refocus. I began to learn as much as I could about relationships and communication. I certified in the Somatica Method, a powerful approach to fostering intimacy, connection and pleasure.

Now, I work as a Relationship and Sexuality Coach and it's the most rewarding job I could have ever imagined. I help people build relationships that are deeply satisfying. I show them how to communicate better, how to understand each other on a whole new level. And I guide them towards embracing their erotic selves, encouraging self-love and deep intimacy.
